Captured during a visit to Florida shortly after my father‘s funeral, this painting holds both grief and quiet beauty. In those days, I was still in shock, trying to comfort my mother and brother as a world shifted in the span of two days. Yet, in this moment, the stillness of nature offered a kind of gentle solace. It was mid morning, the sun was warm, but not yet at it’s peak, casting long, soft shadows the trees seem to chitchat happily as the day began, their branches swaying in a light breeze. White birds strolled along the shore, bathing in sunlight, while palm trees, and other species in the distance, admiring their reflection in the calm lake. Leaves glowed in the shades of orange green, and even the bright blue sky seem to check its own reflection, crisp and flawless. The sand shimmered with Florida’s sunny heat, while in the foreground, a tree with yellowish brown bark stood proudly. Large leave palm frames the scene, enhancing the tropical charm. In this quiet harmony of light, color and movement, nature whispered a reminder that beauty and peace can still be found, even in the shadow of loss.
